You will never be forgotten Gary
Gary was my neighbor. He lived across the street from me. He had the best parents any kid could ask for. Though, I was seven years younger he was always nice and patient with us younger kids. We looked up to him and the other older guys in the neighborhood.. It was a special time.. in a very special place. I remember when we found out that he had been killed.. It was as if the neighborhood changed forever.. The innocence of our youth was lost and the reality of the price of war was real. I was his parents paperboy for several years after his death.. His father never got over losing his only son. Gary has been in my mind a lot over the years..Ironically, lost another within a year. So, today I decided to search and found this site.. and today..I just want to say thank you. R.I.P. with your lovely parents. You are not forgotten. And note that I know where you are.. I’ll drop in for a visit.
