Years gone by .
Gary from Selma Ca. such a fine man was he. You talked about California and surfing and girls and music. You loved music. You use to hang with the brothers a lot and talked music. Upbeat and positive you were.
I will never forget you Gary , on that fateful day when our company came upon a large force of NVA. How confusion reigned and the fog of war surrounded us as we were taking fire from so many different directions.
They called for mortars up and you responded straight into the fight. That was the last time I saw you alive. Your life over in an instant .
We remember you on this Memorial Day.

Gary we didn't know each other but share some similarities. We could have know each other once, I was born in Fresno, 6/4/1948 (grew up in Chicago). We served in VN same area same time. I wish we had met. Thank you for you sacrifice. God Bless.
