Never forgotten
As the Christmas Season approaches, your sacrifice is not forgotten.
In the face of danger, you gave your all.
"Greater love hath no man, than that man lay down his life for a friend."
Semper Fi, Marine.

Thank you for your service.
Dear David Lawrence Cowart,
Thank you so much for what you have sacrificed for us. You were overseas, away from your family and everyone that you were close with, to fight a war for the sake of other people. What I am astounded by is the selflessness of your actions, and the fact that you went to war because some people in the world were not free. When I think of freedom, I see the soldiers that put their life on the line to fight for that freedom, and I thank you for that. In school we are learning about the horrors of the war, and how difficult it was to fight in that alien terrain. So I thank you again for persevering so we normal citizens did not have to endure what you did. Next time I'm in D.C. and see the memorial wall, I will think of you. Thanks for all that you've done.
