That day in the clearing
I remember that day in the clearing. Both of us pointman for our respective unit. The question of. "What in the fuck are you doing here?" I heard you had died a few days after that. It was a long way from Algebra Class at old Andrew P. for both of us.

I made it HOME Richard!
It is hard to believe that 30+ years have come and gone.I was in basic training when the news came that you would never be coming home again as we knew you .I can not remember if I cried or not ,never was one to cry much.But:really I'm sure I did for you were such a good friend. So much to write but not enough time now. I just could't believe no one has written anything in here till now. We both went and I made it home thanks to the grace of GOD!
