I never knew John. He lived near my current home in Western New York. I have met his mother and his sister, both wonderful women. I have also had e-mail from a friend of John's that was in his platoon (thanks Fred). From all that I know of John, he was a very friendly guy and an outstanding soldier.
John will never be forgotten as long as fellow Vietnam Vets like myself walk the earth. God Bless John.
