41 years later, I remember you more acutely, honor you more fervently, love you still and forever. Your friends and family continue to hold you in their hearts. You are truly not forgotten.

At Heavens Gates
Tom and I were in Nam together, what a Marine and young man he was. I know you will be at Heaven's Gates when we all came through.

Tom's family?
When Tom's dad was stationed at Middletown Air Force Base, we went to the same church-affiliated K-8 school together. My father was pastor of the church. The Cores family were bedrock members of that church and there was much sadness when they were transferred to Del Rio. It was several years later, 1967, that they visited us, and Tom's younger brother showed me a picture of Tom in his Marine uniform. I'll never forget my impression of seeing how the boy I knew before had now turned into a man. A year later, of course, we got word of Tom's death. I have since visited the Wall and his rubbing hangs on the front bulletin board of my U.S. History classroom. I have gone on-line with only basic success to try to find out more about how Tom died, and I also wonder about his parents, especially his younger brother who was closer to my age. I would also like to have a picture of Tom for my classroom. If you have any information, could you please contact me? Thank you, Tom. You still live.
