Hospitalman Edwin Earl Cooper was awarded the Bronze Star Medal for Valor, with Combat Distinguishing Device (V), for his exemplary gallantry in action. He served as a HN-8404-Medical Field Service Technician/FMF Combat Corpsman and was assigned to HMM-163, MAG-16, 1ST MAW.

Thank you Edwin Cooper for your service in the military. It is so cool that I live in the same birthplace you were born at, It is such an honor. I feel very greatful for your dedication, and I live off the quote "In spite of friends, relatives, and even parents pleading with you to avoid military service—you responded." Because it resembles that even if some people avoided joining, Veterans like you stepped up and fought for whats best. I thank you for your service in the war.
