THE WALL OF FACES

A butterfly lights beside us like a sunbeam
And for a brief moment its glory
and beauty belong to our world
But then it flies again
And though we wish it could have stayed...

Soldier, thank you for serving! Though I do not know you, I feel a kindred spirit because we both lived in Wilson NC. I was not born until 1951, so I doubt that we ever met, but I'm sure your and my older brother’s paths crossed. I am sure that your family (and I know that our country) is grateful for your service and giving your life for our safety. Again, thank you! And, rest in honor.
