Do not stand at my grave and weep
Do not stand at my grave and weep.
I am not there; I do not sleep.
I am a thousand winds that blow,
I am the diamond glints on snow,
I am the sun on ripened grain,
I am the gentle autumn rain.
When you awaken in the morning's hush
I am the swift uplifting rush
Of quiet birds in circled flight.
I am the soft stars that shine at night.
Do not stand at my grave and cry,
I am not there; I did not die.
Mary Frye – 1932

MISS YOU
Willie, I'm sitting here remembering the Guard Detachment Clarksville Base and wondering why we all didn't stay there. I guess we wern't the type to stay in safe places. Pappy Hinch, Chester Smith and I all made it home, though not the same as when we left. I think of you quite abit and look forward to standing guard mount with you again some day. SEMPER FI J. LOWE
