My husband Russ remembers your visits to his parents home before reinlisting. Your words were to the effect that you wanted to go back. Because you knew the newer recruits would need you, to help them. Here it is 56 yrs. since you left us all. You are not forgotten. You were caring, and giving of yourself. Trying to help others. Medina Marine Vietnam Casualty
Lance Cpl Roger J. Cook, 18, son of Mr. and Mrs. Raymond Cook, Sr., of 719 Orient St, Medina, become Medina's second casualty in Vietnam.
The youth died of body wounds at Da Nang in action with his machine gum unit against the enemy, according to the telegram and personal notifications by two area representatives of the Marine Corps on Monday night.
Cpl Cook has been in Vietnam only a month, and was killed exactly a year from the date of Medina's Rolland B. Shubbuck of 350 West Ave...
