Dear PFC Michael Cook,
Thank you for your service as a Motor Vehicle Operator. It is so important for us all to acknowledge the sacrifices of those like you who answered our nation's call. Please watch over America, it stills needs your strength, courage and faithfulness. Rest in peace with the angels.

Mike and I were together in combat in Vietnam. On July 29, 1966 on Operation Hastings Mike and I were in our fox hole when we were blown up by hand grenades. Mike died instantly and I spent almost 2 years in hospitals recovering.
Mike was my great friend and a Marine that had your back. He was a tall guy with a heart just as big. I have always missed you Mike and grieve for your family and friends all these years that never got to see you again.
"I was with you then and I am with you now". Last week I went to the Vietnam Wall in DC and did a rubbing of your name, a very emotional time for me, I have missed you and it was good to be with you again, now I have you with me and as I write this I am looking at your name and photo.
