Thank you to those who leave a kind remembrance

Our family would like to thank all those who leave a remembrance of our father, Col. Kelly Cook. Some of his children live near the Vietnam Wall memorial and visit regularly. We recently signed up to have a dog tag with his name attached to a tree in Maine. The tree's branches will be used to make a fresh evergreen wreath that will be placed near his name at the Wall each Christmas. This program is called Wreaths Across America. If you are ever in Washington, D.C. during the holidays, you can see the wreaths at Arlington Cemetery and the Vietnam Wall.

Again, thank you for your heartfelt comments. We truly appreciate all the memories.

Col. Kelly Cook and my dad

My dad was Col. Joseph Michalowski and they were very close friends. Recently I found a picture of Col. Cook holding me as an infant...... My mom and dad named me Kelly, after their close friend. I also have the letter Col. Cook (then Maj.) wrote to my mom and the family upon the death of my dad. He mentioned writing a book.... These were two good friends and I am proud to have the name. Col. Kelly Cook and others

I still have my bracelet which rests on my desk to remind me frequently of the sacrifice that Col. Cook made for all of us. Ironically, my wife's father also taught at the Air Force Academy and also gave his life being shot down in 1968. Love and best wishes from our family to the Cook family.

Col. Kelly Cook

I found my bracelet with Col. Kelly Cook that I wore for a long time in hopes he would one day come home. What a sacrifice he made for his country.

Thank you from the Cook family

Our family would like to thank all the fine citizens of the United States who wear, or have worn, our father's MIA bracelet. It is very thoughtful of you to keep Col. Kelly Cook and our family in your prayers, and to honor his sacrifice by wearing the bracelet all these years. We appreciate your kind comments on this website. Your memories and remembrances mean so much to us.
