For a Friend
I met Jimmie while serving at Fort Hood, Texas, and we became friends. He departed for RVN before me, and I was pleasantly surprised to run into him in Chu Lai where he was the Battalion Counter Mortar Radar Officer, and I was the Battalion Maintenance Officer for the 1/14 FA Bn. We spent lots of time working on his generators, and eating home made ice cream made in the freezer his wife had sent him. I will never forget his good humor or his friendship.
