Jay my 2nd big brother

You tried to join the services in early 60’s but none would take you because of flat feet. Then years later when the war grew you volunteered - this time they took you. I’ll never forget the night you and my older brother Virgil took me a 16 year old with you guys for night out. You put your army hat on me- I removed it handing it back telling you “if the hat fits wear it” - we all laughed. A month later as I left for school on a beautiful sunny morning a military car passed me on our out of the way country road. I knew immediately what it meant! I was in shock. I be write this suiting in a hotel room in Dc some 54 years later. I will visit the wall and your name for a second time. At age 70 I just complete a 190 mile run starting in Cumberland 3 days ago ending in DC yesterday. I thought about you, brother Virgil who was killed by a drunk driver in 69 and dad who died age 68 of a heart attack the whole time I was running I remembrance of all you guys.
You and Virgil are still my role models. Love Marlin Weekley
