PFC Convery, Jr. Please know that you are not forgotten and that your sacrifice was not in vain. You have left a son behind, who just recently learned about you. He will be your legacy in this life, and hopefully leave children of his own behind to continue with the legacy of your heroism.

Dear PFC Joseph Francis Convery Jr, sir

As an American, I would like to thank you for your service and for your sacrifice made on behalf of our wonderful country. The youth of today could gain much by learning of heroes such as yourself, men and women whose courage and heart can never be questioned.

May God allow you to read this, and may He allow me to someday shake your hand when I get to Heaven to personally thank you. May he also allow my father to find you and shake your hand now to say thank you; for America, and for those who love you.

Dearest Joseph. I just recently found this site. I was so sad to find out you were killed i thought you stopped careing. The last time we were together was just before you left for Vietnam when we were together in California. I still have all of the letters you sent. I just recently told our son about you and he is so proud. I will always think about and keep you in my heart
