PFC Anderson was Bayoneted to death after he woke up on the morning of 5/3/67 to use the bathroom by the enemy as they crept up to attack E company of 2nd battalion 3rd marines.
Before he was killed he was able to alert his company to the approaching NVA combatants and the fight began.
