In remembrance
I graduated from Ridley in 1975. I grew up watching TV images and reading newspaper articles about the Vietnam War. It became a reality the day I saw and heard my neighbor and sometime babysitter, Ailene Newsome, a classmate of Jim, screaming and crying as she ran to her house after a girlfriend drove up and told her about Jim’s death. That image is seared in my mind. Jim, I will always keep you in find memory. Thank you for your service.

remembering you.....
Well, my high school classmate and friend another year has passed without you. I am now 74. You are still 18 in my mind. Was it that long ago that we were sitting at first period study hall at the end of the school year talking about our plans after graduation and you indicated you were going to enlist and go to Vietnam and be killed? Such a tragic loss....

Hey Jimmy
HS Physics class was long ago, but I can still see/hear you. John has gotten very involved with Veterans & the Wall. I have recently gotten involved as well. I was Navy 70-76, so I have a different direction I am focused on. But I will always remember you. Saw your banner last week on Morton Ave. Looks good! So sorry you were deprived of being an old man wearing a Veteran hat, like I now am. RIP Jimmy.
