IN MEMORY HONOR ROLL

Thomas Robert Egbert, a lifelong resident of Gibsonburg, Ohio, was born on October 15, 1948 to Robert and Helen (Harpel) Egbert and passed away on July 2,2023 after a short battle with Adinocarcinoma of the stomach. He was the oldest of six boys. He graduated from Gibsonburg High School in 1967 having participated in football and basketball throughout high school. On January 24, 1970 he married Susan Smith and began his career as a butcher at his father-in-law's meat market outside of Gibsonburg. He entered the United State Marines in 1968 and served 11 months in Vietnam before being honorably discharged in December of 1969. He loved spending time with family and his horses. He especially enjoyed watching his granddaughter's figure skating, going to Gibsonburg High School athletic events, and THE Ohio State Buckeyes. He is sorely missed by the Gibsonburg community and his family, including wife, Susan, daughter Emili, 4 grandchildren (Mackenzie, Noah, Grace and Cora), a great-grandson (Antonio), mother (Helen), his five brothers (Steve, Dave, Bill, Mark and Paul) and their families, sisters-in-law Sally and Shelli and their families. He was unfairly preceded in death by three sons - Chad, Joshua & Jeremy. SEMPER FI.
