Biography
Woodrow W. Ameline, Jr was born on March 29, 1945, in Choteau, MT. He attended school in Choteau, then enlisted in the army in 1966. He was sent to Vietnam attached to the 101st Airborne Division. He was awarded several medals, including the Sharpshooter Badge M-14 Rifle. He was honorably discharged in September 1968 and returned to Choteau. He married Julie in 1969 and had three children. He was diagnosed with Myasthenia Gravis caused by exposure to Agent Orange in November 2022. During his time in the fields of Vietnam, he remembers seeing the chemical being poured out of helicopters above him. He died of complications from the disease on March 16, 2023.
