Richard Martin Darr, Jr
Richard Martin Darr, Jr, was born to Richard Martin Darr, Sr and Elizabeth Frances Darr on February 24, 1948. At the young age of eighteen, he enlisted in the United States Army. He served two tours of duty in Vietnam during the Vietnam war and was honorably discharged from the Army on December 11, 1968. While serving during the Vietnam war, Richard experienced haunting events that stayed with him in his mind and heart until his death on July 5, 1989. It is our hope and prayer that other soldiers get the mental health and addiction help they need upon returning home after serving our Country faithfully. In addition to his mother, brothers, sisters, and countless other family members, Richard left behind five sons: Richard M. Darr, III, Roy W. Darr, Ricardo I. Darr, Raymond L. Darr, and Jeffrey A. Darr. We love you!
