IN MEMORY HONOR ROLL

Lester was born in Burlington, Iowa to Lester Clarence Sr. and Winifred Annalt Hartman. He and his eight siblings, seven of who served in the military, were raised in Morning Sun, Iowa. He joined the Army September 22,1965, and having served a tour in Vietnam, was honorably discharged Sept 21,1967. Lester was a member of the New London, Iowa VFW. He was a color guard member and their bartender. He was also a CV Club member and a weather watcher. Lester married Erma “Bush” Ross April 18,1992 and became a proud step-dad. His careers included Yard Service, handyman and a bulk mailing employee. He really loved helping friends, family or total strangers if they needed a hand. To Lester service too his country meant a great deal. His last request was to be buried in his color guard uniform. All these years later he is still missed and loved.
