Robert John Brandsfield
Robert "Bob" Brandsfield was born on May 19th, 1950 in Des Moines, Iowa. He graduated from High School in 1968. Bob joined the Army in 1970 and served from July 1970 to July 1971 with the 101st Airborne. After serving in Vietnam, he married Darla Dent in September 1971 and went on to have two children and three granddaughters. Bob volunteered with many organizations from serving as Scout Master for his son's troop, coaching baseball and soccer, various church committees and for the local VVA Chapter 490. He was the best Dance Dad one could ever ask for. Bob had the best sense of humor and loved spending time with his family and friends. Bob loved going to the Iowa State football games and tailgating with many friends. He also loved to golf with his father. Bob formed his own accounting, tax and financial services business where he worked for over 30 years. Bob passed away from PSP, Progressive Supra nuclear Palsy, a form of Parkinson's caused by exposure to Agent Orange during his service in Vietnam. Bob lived a wonderful life with his family and friends and he never missed an opportunity to tell a joke and make everyone laugh. THAT LAUGH will be greatly missed by all who knew him.
