Biography

Joe was born October 22, 1950 in Carroll Iowa. After graduating from high school, he joined the Marine Corps in 1969, with a tour in Vietnam from 1970-1971. Upon being released from the Marine Corps in 1972, Joe signed up for the Iowa National Guard in 1975 and served until his retirement in July 2002. He belonged to the VFW and American Legion in two small communities in Iowa. On March 9, 2021, after a hard-fought battle against Cancer and heart issues, Joe passed away.
