Biography
David was the fourth child of eight born to Dorothy and Richard Granger. He graduated from high school in 1967 - went to junior college - graduated - enlisted in the Army: 9th Infantry Division and the 101st Airborne Transport Company. He served in Vietnam. After honorable discharge he returned to college and graduated from the University of Massachusetts: Cum Laude. He struggled to conform to civilian life; not able to focus on one job for very long. With years of turmoil from him, hospitalizations and outpatient treatment. David disappeared on September 17, 1984. A major search was activated, even being covered by the NBC Show "Missing". On December 3, 1987 his remains were found in a heavily wooded area.

In Memory
Regardless of the tragic circumstances of his death, Dave is remembered as a wonderful friend, brilliant student, and gifted athlete. The man I knew was fun, focused, and accomplished. That is how I will always remember him.
Dave, thank you for your friendship and going above and beyond in service to our country as evidenced by The Bronze Star you earned in Vietnam. You are more than entitled to your place on the In Memory Honor Roll. Rest in peace, my dearest friend.
