Agapito George Alvarez
George was the fourth and youngest child born to Meliton and Sevastiana Alvarez. He had two older brothers Cesar and Joe, and one older sister, Gloria. George followed his fathers and brothers (Joe) footsteps and joined the military after graduation. He married Nadia Lally on Dec 8, 1979 and had three children with her, Natasha (1983), Autumn (1985) and son Nicolai (1988). Due to George, having Hepatitis C and major back problems he spent most of his time with his children when not in the hospital. He loved to salt-water fish whenever possible. George was able to have one dream come true before his death, a Harley Davidson. George was a mentor to many young adults who will cherish his memory and advice for a lifetime. He encouraged many young adults to obtain an education. Education was of extreme importance to him. George left a legacy of love and positivity with all those who were fortunate to have been part of his life. On May 29, 2003, George took his first steps to his "next journeyā€¯ with his wife and children by his side. George passed away from Hepatocellular Carcinoma, Hepatitis C and Diabetes Mellitus as a direct result from Vietnam.
