IN MEMORY HONOR ROLL

Leo P Allen was born in Detroit Michigan, his father passed away when he was 5 years old. His family then moved to Deckerville MI when Leo was 9 years old. Leo's Mother remarried shortly after this and he was legally adopted by his Stepfather. His name was then legally changed to Leo Peter Rose. He attended West Point Military Academy 1959-1965. Leo had a very serious automobile accident while traveling in Europe during his schooling at West Point. He was in a coma and when he regained consciousness he had lost the previous years’ worth of memories which put him behind in his schooling. Leo attended the University of Michigan in Ann Arbor in order to once again academically perform up to par so that he could return to West Point. He graduated in 1965 and remained in the Army until the early 1970’s. His tour of duty in Vietnam was less than a year but long enough to be affected by Agent Orange. Leo was married and had four children. In 1980, he had his name legally changed from Leo Peter Rose back to Leo Peter Allen in order to continue his family name. Leo passed away in July 2004 from Non-Hodgkin’s Lymphoma leaving behind his wife, four children, and 12 grandchildren.
