Dewey Edward Allen, III
Dewy Edward Allen III was born on August 15, 1950 to Dewey Jr. and Jean Allen in St. Louis, MO. They moved to Malvern, Arkansas in 1952. He was educated in the Malvern Public schools and graduated from Malvern High School in 1966. Dewy served in the US Army from 1968 – 1971. He was awarded the Bronze Star. He attended the University of Arkansas, Henderson State University and graduate of vocational technical College. He worked as a draftsman for the Little Rock water office. Dewy was a poet and musician who loved to write songs and play the base guitar. He played in a locally well-known band, “September.” He loved the outdoors and enjoyed camping and hiking. Dewy died January 23, 1985 at his home in Little Rock. He was 34 years old.
