Biography
Charles W (Charlie Bill) Murnan III was born June 4, 1947 in Indianapolis, IN. He was a 1966 graduate of Greenfield HS and entered the Army on Oct 24, 1966. Charlie Bill PCS'd to Vietnam in Dec 1967, and was assigned to 1st Bn 83 Arty Rgmt, 54th Arty Gp and supported 2nd Fld Force, 101st ABN, 1st Cav Div, and 24th Americal Div. He was discharged on Oct 10, 1968. Charles W Murnan III was married with 5 children, and died on April 26, 2006, only 24 days after his diagnosis of a glioblastoma.

Today we honor Charles W. Murnan III of Greenfield, Indiana, who passed away on this day 15 years ago. He is remembered by his family, who each wrote a special remembrance below:
"Connie (Wife) – Wish you were here, you would be so proud of your kids and their spouses, and WOW you would SO be enjoying your Grandkids!
Cori (Daughter) – He was compassionate, hardworking, goofy and fun. I’m thankful he was my dad.
Kristi (Daughter) – He was selfless, humble, funny and kind. He could make the best out of any situation.
Amanda (Daughter) - He was funny, caring, hard-working and never knew a stranger. His family was so important to him, and his death left a void that is still healing 15 years later.
C.W. (Son) – He was definitely fun-loving and very patient with me and everyone else.
Sandy (Sister) – He was my best friend, and I miss him dearly!
Debbie (Sister) – He was a loving brother, and never knew a stranger."
