Harold its been 48 years today that l lost you, my soul mate. I met you at By George's on a Sunday night in Northport with a guy from Eatons Neck Coast Guard. You were working there and asked me out. I fell in love with you the minute l saw your beautiful blue eyes with that dark hair. I recently found out that your Coast Guard friends went to your funeral and presented Harold's mom with his flag. Thanks Mike. When l married Charles Joseph Rykert on May 6, 1984 your mom came to wedding. I use to bring our twins to Jones Drug store to see her. Harold you are missed l will never forget you for l know you're my Guardian Angel. Love to you forever for you will always be a part of my heart and my soul. Judith Seyfried Rykert.

A hero who died after he came home

Today is the 48th year of your death at age 22. You just returned from Vietnam. I fell in love with you the first time you asked me out. You were working at By Georges in Northport on Sundays. I always wanted to marry a tall, dark haired man with blue eyes. We never made it to the altar, but when l married Charles Joseph Rykert on May 6, 1984 your mom came to the church. You had many friends from Eaton's Neck Coastguard go to your funeral, Michael Hamilton gave your mom the flag. I will always remember you on this day and your birthday. Forever in my heart and my Guardian Angel. Judith Ann Seyfried Rykert

48 years have gone by since you left me.

Thinking of you today on this 48th year of your death. I have loved you since that Sunday night at By George's when you asked me out. We were soulmates. I always wanted to marry a man that was tall had dark brown hair and blue eyes. We spent every minute together and were going to get married until your untimely death. I loved your parents so much. Your mom showed up at Saint Anthony's of Padua in East Northport when l married Charles Joseph Rykert on May 6, 1984. We had twin boys and l would go and visit your mom at Jones Drug store. I also found out that you had many friends from Eatons Neck Coast Guard. They were at your funeral and praying for me. Mike Hamilton gave your mom the flag. You are so missed and forever in my heart. You'll always be my hero and my Guardian Angel for life. Judith Ann Seyfried Rykert.
