Commemorative POW*MIA bracelet dedicated to U.S. Air Force Sergeant (Sgt) Joseph A. Matejov. The bracelet bears engraved inscriptions specifying Sgt Matejov's military rank, name, branch of service, casualty date, theater of military operations, & home state of record which read, "SGT JOSEPH A. MATEJOV / USAF 5 FEB 73 LAOS / NY". The artifact was left at The Wall by an anonymous donor between January - May 1998.

COMMEMORATIVE POW*MIA BRACELET DEDICATED TO U.S. AIR FORCE SERGEANT (SGT) JOSEPH ANDREW MATEJOV. THE OBJECT CONSISTS OF A FLAT STRIP OF RECTANGULARLY SHAPED, POLISHED ALUMINUM [?] METAL WITH ROUNDED ENDS BENT INTO A ROUGHLY CIRCULAR SHAPE TO FORM A BRACELET. AN ENGRAVED INSCRIPTION (IN-FILLED IN BLACK) AT THE EXTERIOR, OBVERSE OBJECT SURFACE OF THE BRACELET BEARS SGT MATEJOV'S MILITARY RANK, NAME, BRANCH OF SERVICE, CASUALTY DATE, & THEATER OF MILITARY OPERATIONS, "SGT JOSEPH A. MATEJOV / USAF 5 FEB 73 LAOS", WHILE A SECONDARY INSCRIPTION ENGRAVED AT THE EXTERIOR, REVERSE OBJECT SURFACE BEARS THE TWO (2) LETTER ABBREVIATION FOR SGT MATEJOV'S HOME STATE OF RECORD, "NY".

I have a bracelet I received from My local VFW to wear. It has SGT. JOSEPH A. MATEJOV USAF 2-5-73 LAOS. I WORE THIS FOR MANY YEARS. AND HAVE KEPT UP WITH HIS FAMILY AND THEIR SEARCH FOR HIM. VIETNAM VETERAN U.S. NAVY!
