Two (2) non-military issue, commemorative service identification tags, also referred to as, "dog tags", dedicated to U.S. Army Corporal (CPL) Alfredo Edwardo Aviles. Both dog tags bear the name & remembrance, "ALFREDO AVILES / IN LOVE AND MEMORY" stamped upon the obverse object surface. The artifacts were left at The Wall affixed to a metal ball chain by an anonymous donor between June - August 1988.
TWO (2) NON-MILITARY ISSUE, COMMEMORATIVE SERVICE IDENTIFICATION TAGS, ALSO REFERRED TO AS, "DOG TAGS", DEDICATED TO U.S. ARMY CORPORAL (CPL) ALFREDO EDWARDO AVILES. EACH OBJECT CONSISTS OF A RECTANGULARLY SHAPED, SILVER COLORED METAL DISK WITH ROUNDED CORNERS, A CRIMPED EDGE, AND ONE (1) HOLE PUNCHED AT THE CENTER OF THE PROPER LEFT-HAND SIDE OF THE OBVERSE OBJECT SURFACE. THE NAME & REMEMBRANCE, "ALFREDO AVILES / IN LOVE AND MEMORY" IS STAMPED INTO THE OBVERSE OBJECT SURFACES OF BOTH DOG TAGS IN RECESSED BLOCK SCRIPT/ARABIC NUMERALS. BOTH DOG TAGS ARE PRESENTLY AFFIXED TO A SILVER COLORED METAL BALL CHAIN STRUNG THROUGH THE HOLES PUNCHED AT THE CENTER OF THE PROPER LEFT-HAND EDGES OF THE OBVERSE OBJECT SURFACES OF EACH TAG.
