THE OBJECT CONSISTS OF A NOTE HANDWRITTEN IN BLUE INK AND CURSIVE SCRIPT/ROMAN NUMERALS UPON THE CENTER OF THE OBVERSE OBJECT SURFACE OF A VIETNAM VETERANS MEMORIAL (VVM) WALL RUBBING SHEET. THE NOTE IS ADDRESSED, "DEAR JOHN D. KILLEN III", IS SIGNED, "YOUR MARINE BROTHER", IS FROM, "ALLAN T CORDERA / SSGT USMC", AND READS, "MY NAME IS STAFF SERGEANT ALLAN T. CORDERA. / I AM IN THE MARINE CORPS AND I WEAR YOUR MIA BRACELET. / I PROMISE THAT I WILL NOT REMOVE IT UNTIL YOU ARE FOUND AND BROUGHT HOME."
