Handwritten note dedicated to U.S. Army Private First Class (PFC) Gary Virgil Frazier. The note reads, "Gary V. Frazier / To my brother: / Dad's still mad at himself because he told you reenlist, even though we keep telling him it wasn't just him, it was you too. / God bless you and keep you, / your little sister." The artifact was left at The Wall by PFC Frazier's sister between April - June 1988.
HANDWRITTEN NOTE DEDICATED TO U.S. ARMY PRIVATE FIRST CLASS (PFC) GARY VIRGIL FRAZIER. THE OBJECT CONSISTS OF A NOTE HANDWRITTEN IN BLACK INK AND BLOCK SCRIPT UPON A RECTANGULARLY SHAPED SHEET OF WHITE, LINED, SIX (6)-HOLE PUNCHED NOTEBOOK PAPER. THE NOTE IS ADDRESSED, "GARY V. FRAZIER / TO MY BROTHER", IS SIGNED, "YOUR LITTLE SISTER / [heart shaped symbol] * * O", AND READS, "DAD'S STILL MAD AT HIMSELF BECAUSE HE TOLD YOU REENLIST, EVEN THOUGH WE KEEP TELLING HIM IT WASN'T JUST HIM, IT WAS YOU TOO. / GOD BLESS YOU AND KEEP YOU". ACCORDING TO VIVE CATALOG NOTES PREPARED BY MRCE COLLECTIONS STAFF, AN NPS RANGER'S TAG ORIGINALLY DISCOVERED WITH THE ARTIFACT READ, "5/201".
