Photocopied field roster listing, "PERSONNEL IN FIELD" for Alpha Company (A Co.), 2/7, 1st Cavalry Division (1st Cav. Div.), U.S. Army participating in the Battle of Thanh Son (2), 6 May 1966. The field roster specifies those killed in action (KIA), wounded in action (WIA), and the body part affected (i.e. "back", "hip", "groin", etc.) amongst, "1ST Platoon", "2nd Platoon", "3rd Platoon", "WPNS [Weapons] Platoon", and "HQ [Headquarters] Platoon" during the battle. A handwritten dedication upon the document reads, "Rest in Peace Gentlemen". The artifact was left at The Wall by an anonymous donor between September - November 1993.

THE NAMES ARE PRINTED AND ARRANGED IN FOUR (4) VERTICAL COLUMNS, UNDER THE HEADINGS, "1ST PLATOON", "2ND PLATOON", "3RD PLATOON", "WPNS PLATOON", AND, "HQ PLATOON". HANDWRITTEN NOTATIONS IN INK AND BLOCK SCRIPT ARE OBSERVED NEXT TO VARIOUS NAMES INDICATING KILLED IN ACTION (KIA), WOUNDED IN ACTION (WIA), AND BODY PART AFFECTED (I.E. "BACK", "HIP", "GROIN", ETC.) A FURTHER HANDWRITTEN INSCRIPTION IN INK AND BLOCK SCRIPT/ARABIC NUMERALS ALONG THE LOWER EDGE OF THE OBVERSE OBJECT SURFACE SPECIFIES THE NATURE OF THE DOCUMENT, "FIELD ROSTER", THE MILITARY UNIT INVOLVED & THE NAME OF THE ENGAGEMENT, THE DATE OF THE ENGAGEMENT, "6 MAY '66-", AND OFFERS THE DEDICATION, "REST IN PEACE, GENTLEMEN [signature/initial]".
