Handmade placard dedicated to U.S. Air Force Colonel (Col) Peter Joseph Stewart. The placard reads, "TODAY IS DAY / 7,171 for POW / PETER STEWART". The artifact was left at The Wall along with a virtually identical handmade placard (VIVE (1186)) by the family of Col Stewart in November 1985.

ITEM DESCRIPTION

HANDMADE PLACARD DEDICATED TO U.S. AIR FORCE COLONEL (COL) PETER JOSEPH STEWART. THE OBJECT CONSISTS OF A RECTANGULARLY SHAPED SEGMENT OF WHITE CARDSTOCK, UPON WHICH THE PHRASE "TODAY IS DAY / 7,171 FOR POW / PETER STEWART" IS HANDWRITTEN IN BLACK MARKER AND BLOCK SCRIPT/ARABIC NUMERALS. TWO (2) STRIPS OF TRANSLUCENT ADHESIVE TAPE (ONE (1) CLEAR AND ONE (1) RED) ARE AFFIXED TO THE UPPER, PROPER LEFT-HAND CORNER OF THE OBVERSE OBJECT SURFACE. THE OBJECT IS ASSOCIATED WITH VIVE (1186).
