U.S. Army 199th Infantry Brigade (Light) unit commemorative place card dedicated to U.S. Army Private First Class (PFC) Paul David Kuehl. The place card bears a full color rendition of the U.S. Army 199th Infantry Brigade shoulder sleeve insignia, handwritten inscriptions specifying PFC Kuehl's name, rank, casualty date, "3/28/68", & Vietnam Veterans Memorial (VVM) Wall location information, "46E", and a typewritten inscription detailing contact information for Redcatcher, the association of the 199th Light Infantry Brigade, at the reverse surface. The artifact was left at The Wall along with a framed photographic print and larger assemblage of unit commemorative place cards (VIVE (11773 - 11784, & 11786 - 11798)) by members of Redcatcher between May - June 1997.

U.S. ARMY 199TH INFANTRY BRIGADE (LIGHT) UNIT COMMEMORATIVE PLACE CARD DEDICATED TO U.S. ARMY PRIVATE FIRST CLASS (PFC) PAUL DAVID KUEHL. THE OBJECT CONSISTS OF A RECTANGULARLY SHAPED SEGMENT OF HEAVY GAUGE, WHITE, UNLINED CARDSTOCK WHICH HAS BEEN FOLDED EXACTLY IN HALF (1/2) TO CREATE A PLACE CARD. AT THE OBVERSE OBJECT SURFACE, A FULL COLOR RENDITION OF THE U.S. ARMY 199TH INFANTRY BRIGADE (LIGHT) SHOULDER SLEEVE INSIGNIA (APPROVED ON 10 JUNE, 1966) IS PRINTED IN BLUE, YELLOW, RED, AND WHITE INK, CONSISTING OF: A SHIELD, OBLONG IN SHAPE AND ARCHED AT BOTH ENDS, EDGED WITH A BLUE BORDER FIMBRIATED BY A WHITE INNER EDGE ON A BLUE BACKGROUND, THE UPPER LENGTH OF A WHITE SPEAR, THE AREA BELOW THE SPEARHEAD ENVELOPED WITH A STYLIZED YELLOW FLAME HAVING AN INNER CORE OF RED. THE COLORS BLUE AND WHITE ARE USED TO REPRESENT INFANTRY, WHILE THE SPEAR (AN EARLY INFANTRY WEAPON IN FLAMES) SYMBOLIZES THE EVOLUTION AND FIREPOWER OF THE MODERN INFANTRY. DIRECTLY BELOW THE SHOULDER SLEEVE INSIGNIA THE NAME, RANK, AND CASUALTY DATE, "PFC PAUL D. KUEHL" ARE HANDWRITTEN IN BLACK MARKER AND BLOCK SCRIPT/ARABIC NUMERALS. AT THE REVERSE OBJECT SURFACE, SERVICE AND CONTACT INFORMATION FOR, "REDCATCHER / THE ASSOCIATION OF THE 199TH LIGHT INFANTRY BRIGADE" IS TYPEWRITTEN IN BLACK INK AND BLOCK SCRIPT/ARABIC NUMERALS.
