Live on in all who knew you

I did not know you Pete, but I learned today who you were. I simply was helping someone out, I see Brent found you here. You live on in all who knew you, I wish I could have known you in my lifetime.

My Brother, My Friend

Pete,
It's me Brent the old southern boy from Arkansas. I searched for many years to find your place on the wall and post a tribute to you. I was wrong on your home town but a very nice Lady name Lisa helped me find you, God Bless Her. I never got to say good-bye when we were sent to differen't outfits. Buddy, Stoker and me were assigned to the 173rd. Airborne. Buddy of course is with you he was taken on 11/18/67, I talked to Stoker in 1986 and to Buddy's Mom, Stoker is Stoker "God Bless him". I don't know what to say except "you paid the ultimate price of being an American, this country is fortunate to have had you as a son" I am proud that I was/am your friend. I will see you again someday my Brother. America could not be Great without Americans such as YOU. God Bless America and God Bless You.

Thank You Soldier

Dear Soldier, I want to thank you for the great sacrifice that you have paid for the freedom of every American citizen. I am a student at Gridley High School in Gridley Illinois and we are doing this as a Gridley High School Posting Project for world history. I on the other hand am doing this as much more than just a student with another assignment that has to be done. To me this means a lot more because I had an uncle that was in the Vietnam War, and he about lost his life in battle. I appreciate the actions that you took in trying to keep our country safe and secure. It is just a great feeling to know that we are being protected by people like you that are willing to lay it all down on the line and pay the ultimate sacrifice for this reason. I thank you again and may God Bless.
