Remembering An American Hero
Dear CPL Charles E Anderson Jr, sir
As an American, I would like to thank you for your service and for your sacrifice made on behalf of our wonderful country. The youth of today could gain much by learning of heroes such as yourself, men and women whose courage and heart can never be questioned.
May God allow you to read this, and may He allow me to someday shake your hand when I get to Heaven to personally thank you. May he also allow my father to find you and shake your hand now to say thank you; for America, and for those who love you.
With respect, and the best salute a civilian can muster for you, Sir
Curt Carter

CPL Charles E. Anderson Jr., USMC -- My Brave Cousin
I was only 4 years old when you gave your life at 20 years old serving the country you loved. I grew up without ever getting to know you but never forgetting how much a part of our family you were and still are. You were the cousin we all honored and remembered as the Marine who went to war and died for your country. I wish I'd known the "cousin" as well as I know the brave soldier who never came home. But know this.... I grew up with all the love and respect for you and will never forget you. So proud to call you family. Rest in Peace, Butch.
