Still Remembered

Sir, I was a member of a team that attempted to recover your remains in 1999. We were unsuccessful due to the location of the aircraft. All we found was pieces of the aircraft. The aircraft is located next to a canal. We attempted to dam the canal from the recovery site. We spent several weeks working on the dams, pumping water and sifting mud and water looking for any remains. Sir, I'm sorry we weren't able to bring you home. I check on you periodically to see if you've made it home. You are in my thoughts, Sir, as I still own a bracelet with your name. RIP Sir, Thank you for your sacrifice. You are not forgotten.

Remembering An American Hero

Dear Captain Howard Rudolph Cody, sir

As an American, I would like to thank you for your service and for your sacrifice made on behalf of our wonderful country. The youth of today could gain much by learning of heroes such as yourself, men and women whose courage and heart can never be questioned.

May God allow you to read this, and may He allow me to someday shake your hand when I get to Heaven to personally thank you. May he also allow my father to find you and shake your hand now to say thank you; for America, and for those who love you.

With respect, and the best salute a civilian can muster for you, Sir

Curt Carter

Thank You.

I know that we are strangers, but i wanted to take the time to let you know that I greatly appreciate what you have done for our country. Your service towards this country took the utmost bravery, in which, the ultimate price was paid. I want to thank you from the bottom of my heart, and let you know that you will not be forgotten.

If I should die...remembrances for CAPT. Howard Rudolph CODY, USAF...who made the ultimate sacrifice

If I should die, and leave you here awhile, be not like others, sore undone, who keep long vigils by the silent dust, and weep...for MY sake, turn again to life, and smile...Nerving thy heart, and trembling hand to do something to comfort other hearts than thine...Complete these dear, unfinished tasks of mine...and I, perchance, may therein comfort you.
