Pat & Ben both inlisted at the same time. They were both great guys. They both layed their lives on the line for my freedom. Pat gave his life. Ben Came home. I will never forget the price they both paid. I will be eternally grateful. No greater sacrifice than one who lays down his life for a friend. Pat & Ben you will always be in our thoughts.

I will never forget returning from Boot Camp and signing you and Benny Jones up into the Corps. I also will never forgive myself for that day. I made a special trip to your unit before I left Nam. You died after I left.A part of me died too! I promised your Mom that I would protect you and I could not keep that promise.
