Thank You

Dear Sgt Ronald Cloud,
Thank you for your service as an Infantryman with Delta Company, 2nd Battalion, 12th Cavalry, 1st Cavalry. This was Mike's unit, say hi to him in heaven. December is here, along with all the preparations. It is so important for us all to acknowledge the sacrifices of those like you who answered our nation's call. Please watch over America, it stills needs your strength, courage and faithfulness. Rest in peace with the angels.

Photo remembrance of Ronald Myron Cloud

The photo was provided by Herb Reckinger Jr. of Cottage Grove, Minnesota with help from Janet Thomas, Carol Barrett and her daughter Tessie. Thank you Herb, Janet, Carol and Tessie!

Ronald was an American Indian and a beloved member of the Red Lake Nation. The community named the local veterans post after him, the 3 Ronald M Cloud Memorial Post.

Ronald, it is with great humility, pride and honor that Herb, Janet, Carol, Tessie and I post this remembrance for you and upload your photo so that your memory and the sacrifice you made will never be forgotten and to ensure your photo will be displayed on your birthday each and every year when the Education Center is completed. You are not forgotten and remain in the hearts of many after all these years. Thank you Ronald for being who you were and for all you did. We live in freedom to this day thanks to heroes like you.

You were one of the brave that answered the call. You honored us by your service and sacrifice. We now honor you each time we stand and sing the words “THE LAND OF THE FREE AND THE HOME OF THE BRAVE”. Rest in Peace and Honor Ronald.

Remembering An American Hero

Dear SGT Ronald M Cloud, sir

As an American, I would like to thank you for your service and for your sacrifice made on behalf of our wonderful country. The youth of today could gain much by learning of heroes such as yourself, men and women whose courage and heart can never be questioned.

May God allow you to read this, and may He allow me to someday shake your hand when I get to Heaven to personally thank you. May he also allow my father to find you and shake your hand now to say thank you; for America, and for those who love you.

With respect, and the best salute a civilian can muster for you, Sir

Curt Carter
