NATIVE AMERICAN PRAYER

It is said a man hasn't died as long as he is remembered. This prayer is a way for families, friends and fellow veterans to remember our fallen brothers and sisters. Do not stand at my grave and weep I am not there, I do not sleep. I am a thousand winds that blow, I am the diamond glints on snow. I am the sunlight on ripened grain, I am the gentle autumn rain. When you awaken in the morning hush, I am the swift, uplifting rush of quiet birds in circled flight, I am the stars that shine at night. Do not stand at my grave and cry, I am not there, I did not die.

is tragedy for those who love .For at least named reason

Our first casualty

Clemmons was one of our Huey crew chiefs. As far as I know, he gave his life trying to save wounded soldiers. I did not get to know him very well, but remember him and remember working with him on his ship. The war really struck home when he was killed. We hadn't been there for very long and already one of our guys was gone. I remember we had no guns mounted on our hueys and yet he and his pilots chose to rescue soldiers who were pinned down by automatic weapons.
