Never forgotten
CPL Terry Desmond Clark is buried in Section 5, site 1529 of the Wilmington National Cemetery in Wilmington, NC.
He was awarded the Silver Cross when a couple of members of his unit tripped a wired booby-trap. He ran forward after hearing the wire tripped and knocked the members down, absorbing the blast with his body, and saving the lives of his fellow comrades.
Your sacrifice is not forgotten.
Forever 18.
"Greater love hath no man, than that man lay down his life for friends."
HOOAH

Proud to have your name
I have known of your bravery and sacrifice for most of my life. My mother, Marie Johnson, was your cousin and named me after you. When I was young my mother told me of the selfless actions that led to your death, and I have always been proud to have your name.
After I had grown up and had a son of my own, I attended a family reunion in 2002 in Burgaw, and saw my Great Aunt - my grandfather's sister- your mother. I told Aunt Katherine that I was proud to have been named after you, and I thanked her for letting my mother name me Terry.
You are a symbol of what this country should be. Thank you for your service.
