honoring you...

A butterfly lights beside us like a sunbeam
And for a brief moment its glory
and beauty belong to our world
But then it flies again
And though we wish it could have stayed...
We feel lucky to have seen it.

Thanks

Dear Pvt Kerry Clark,
Thank you for your service as an Infantryman. December has begun, along with all the preparations. It is so important for us all to acknowledge the sacrifices of those like you who answered our nation's call. Please watch over America, it stills needs your strength, courage and faithfulness. Rest in peace with the angels.

Aways Friends

It was 1960 and my first day at Dillworth Junior High. I was not sure where my next class was and I probably looked like a deer in the head lights. I remember you standing there, all legs and glasses. You saved me that day; took me under your wing and showed me around. You even invited me to your house after school for a snack of toast with peanut butter. I still eat those all the time.

My family moved again after only one year in Sparks; but in that year we camped at Lake Tahoe with your parents. Played a lot of basketball and did all the crazy stuff 13 year old boys do.Went to parties and there were girls!!!

That was 50+ years ago and I still consider you my friend. I will never forget your kindness and that big smile you always had on your face.

Remembering An American Hero

Dear PVT Kerry Edward Clark, sir

As an American, I would like to thank you for your service and for your sacrifice made on behalf of our wonderful country. The youth of today could gain much by learning of heroes such as yourself, men and women whose courage and heart can never be questioned.

May God allow you to read this, and may He allow me to someday shake your hand when I get to Heaven to personally thank you. May he also allow my father to find you and shake your hand now to say thank you; for America, and for those who love you.

With respect, and the best salute a civilian can muster for you, Sir

Curt Carter
