I LOVE YOU Uncle Michael

I remember like it was yesterday playing in my grandparent's den as a kid and then saw your smiling picture of you at a desk wondering who you were that christmas. I never did ask till i reached middle school. Then that's when all the stories began. I wish so bad i could've met you. I read some of your letters from Vietnam to my dad about dad getting a new drum set and and that one day my dad will be like ringo starr. I could tell you were a humorous person from the comic clips you sent. I heard how you played jokes on friends putting fish in a friend's mailbox. I think it's really COOL you used to race at Union Hill racetrack that i just had to go and check it out. My dad told me all about your GTO you raced and awards you won. I love antique cars alot, too. I guess that's why i love the fast and furious movies so much. It makes me think of you and i feel like it's as close as i can get to you. I love car shows on tv. Hope to own my own corvette or chevelle one day. I heard about you having your own little band, too playing Jerry Lee Lewis songs which i was shocked to find out from my dad bc i love Jerry Lee Lewis, too. Dad told me all about you sometimes taking him with you to meet up with others at Centennial Park showing off your supped up cars. I guess i could say you were considered the hottie of the town. I wish so bad i could've me you to share our love of good looking fast cars and going fishing, too. I love fishing. Nashville has really grown these past 25 years i've been living. You would be amazed. I'm gonna try to post a picture of you soon. Gotta ask my dad where the pic is. I know you passed at such a young age but May God bless you in your arms and love in your soul and please know thanks for sacrificing along with your bravery for our country. I love you so much. I sometimes feel like i can feel your spirit with me. I love you, Uncle Mike. God bless your beautiful soul.Love, Renee. Anyone reading this that knew Michael, please email me bc i would love to learn even more about him. [email protected] is my email.

Remembering An American Hero

Dear SP4 Richard Michael Amick, sir

As an American, I would like to thank you for your service and for your sacrifice made on behalf of our wonderful country. The youth of today could gain much by learning of heroes such as yourself, men and women whose courage and heart can never be questioned.

May God allow you to read this, and may He allow me to someday shake your hand when I get to Heaven to personally thank you. May he also allow my father to find you and shake your hand now to say thank you; for America, and for those who love you.

With respect, and the best salute a civilian can muster for you, Sir

Curt Carter
