Platoon 385

Cpl. Croquette was my junior D.I. In th fall of '64. He was professional, ultra

DI of Platoon 335, Summer 1965 Parris Island

I am saddened to find that SSgt Choquette was KIA in Quang Nam. He was one of the DIs in my platoon (335) which graduated August 1965 when he was an E5.

I served with the 3/1 in VietNam in 1966 and I owe my survival to the training he taught me. God Bless you Sarge! Semper Fi,
John Byrne

Dear SSGT Robert G Choquette Jr, sir

As an American, I would like to thank you for your service and for your sacrifice made on behalf of our wonderful country. The youth of today could gain much by learning of heroes such as yourself, men and women whose courage and heart can never be questioned.

With respect, Sir
