My Uncle Alfred

I remember you carrying me and Elaine on your shoulders when we were young. I remember your smile and your happiness to see family. I wish as I got older that you could have been there. Mom loved you and made me promise not to get tattoos when I joined the Army. The only thing you did that she did not care for. LOL. I know that you did what you had to do and gave the ultimate sacrifice. I love you and miss you. You will never be forgotten.

Remembering An American Hero

Dear SSGT Alfred June Amburgey, sir

As an American, I would like to thank you for your service and for your sacrifice made on behalf of our wonderful country. The youth of today could gain much by learning of heroes such as yourself, men and women whose courage and heart can never be questioned.

May God allow you to read this, and may He allow me to someday shake your hand when I get to Heaven to personally thank you. May he also allow my father to find you and shake your hand now to say thank you; for America, and for those who love you.

With respect, and the best salute a civilian can muster for you, Sir

Curt Carter

TO THE BEST FRIEND I EVER HAD IN THIS LIFETIME

EVEN THOUGH YOU ARE NOT HERE TO SEE THIS, I WILL NEVER FORGET THE GOOD TIMES WE HAD TOGETHER. I WILL ALWAYS REMEMBER YOU AS THE GREATEST FRIEND A PERSON COULD EVER ASK FOR. YOU WAS ALWAYS THERE WHEN I NEEDED A SHOULDER TO CRY ON. YOU TAUGHT ME SO MUCH OF WHICH I WILL ALWAYS BE GRATEFUL. REST WELL MY FRIEND.
