Merry Christmas…
Fifty-four Christmas’s have passed since you left, and not one has ever been or felt the same without you there. You left for Vietnam this time fifty-four years ago. And when you left, you promised you’d come home. In a way I guess, you kept that promise, just not the way anyone wanted. The tears have never stopped Joe, they aren’t always visible, but they are always there. The piece of my heart that stopped beating the night we got the news has never recovered. And it never will, not until we are together again. Until then, Merry Christmas my dear, sweet love. May you continue to watch over those you love, who have loved you always. And may you continue to know, I will never forget you, will never stop holding you in my heart, will never stop loving you…

FROM ARGENTINA
My name is Esteban Chiacchio, I'm from Argentina. I was founding information about my surname and found the story of Joseph. It's an honor to know that a Chiacchio was fighting in Vietnam, and I will let know all the Chiacchios in Argentina that we have a relative who is a war hero. Sorry for my band english. Respect for solider Joseph Chiacchio.

FAMILY TIES
Joe, I didn't know you personally, but went to school with your sister Anna Maria. A few years after your passing, my family and yours became good friends, and I know that you were always in the hearts of your family.
