THANK YOU

Dear Sp4 Larry Chapman,
Thanks for your service as an Infantryman. My husband just passed on your anniversary. Say hi to him in heaven, his name is Michael. This is the month that we remember all those who have passed-on. We remember you. It is so important for us all to acknowledge the sacrifices of those like you who answered our nation's call. Please watch over America, it stills needs your strength, courage and faithfulness. Rest in peace with the angels.

Same name

My name is also Larry Chapman and I also served in Viet Nam from August of 1970 until September 1971. I never knew you, but when I saw your name it sent feelings all over me. I had never seen my name on the wall before. From what I have read here on the virtual wall, you were the kind of guy I would like to have known. We may even have been distant relatives as I am from Mt. Vernon, IL...there may have been relatives in the past that we don't know of. Thank you for your service and ultimate sacrifice. RIP

Remembering An American Hero

Dear SP4 Larry Lee Chapman, sir

As an American, I would like to thank you for your service and for your sacrifice made on behalf of our wonderful country. The youth of today could gain much by learning of heroes such as yourself, men and women whose courage and heart can never be questioned.

May God allow you to read this, and may He allow me to someday shake your hand when I get to Heaven to personally thank you. May he also allow my father to find you and shake your hand now to say thank you; for America, and for those who love you.

With respect, Sir

Curt Carter
