THE WALL OF FACES

Private First Class Joel Henry Chapin, Served with the 647th Quartermaster Company, 240th Quartermaster Battalion, United States Army Support Command (Qui Nhon), 1st Logistical Command, United States Army Vietnam.

A butterfly lights beside us like a sunbeam
And for a brief moment its glory
and beauty belong to our world
But then it flies again
And though we wish it could have stayed...
We feel lucky to have seen it.

Dear PFC Joel Chapin,
Thank you for your service as a Supplyman. This is the month that we remember all those who have passed-on. We remember you. It is so important for us all to acknowledge the sacrifices of those like you who answered our nation's call. Please watch over America, it stills needs your strength, courage and faithfulness. Rest in peace with the angels.

Chapin soon to be 48 years. I just posted Evans on facebook and I will post you as well. I want you to know I have never forgot you or Evans Oct 13 1967 will never be forgotten by me.

Dear PFC Joel Henry Chapin, sir

As an American, I would like to thank you for your service and for the ultimate sacrifice that you made on behalf of our wonderful country. The youth of today could gain much by learning of heroes such as yourself, men and women whose courage and heart can never be questioned.

May God allow you to read this, and may He allow me to someday shake your hand when I get to Heaven to personally thank you. And please know that men and women like you have stepped forward to defend our country yet again, showing the same love for country and their fellow Americans that you did- you would be proud.

With respect, and the best salute that a civilian can muster for you.
